The building on the left was built in 1899 as a United States Post Office. It was used as the post office until 1907. The building was vacant at the time of the fire, and is now torn down. The fire was caused by an electrical short and spread to the center building.
The building in the center was built in 1884, and used by National Attorney Services of America. It was also destroyed and is now gone.
The building on the right housed the Arizona Daily Star, first daily newspaper in Tucson, established in 1877. It survived the quickly spreading fire and is restored.
